"Dude, you have no Quran!" A Victory Against Islamophobia!
Amarillo, the largest city in the dry mesas and cattle ranches of the Texas Panhandle, is now my favorite city in the Lone Star State. Here's why, from last week:
A agree with both folks who have already posted. Burning ANY books, or killing ANY people, is wrong. And, yes, this is surprising and good news from Texas. I never would have thought something like this could come out of the Lone Star state!
Kudos to these people as some of the things that one is seeing right now really does give a big question as to where things are going. Stories like this are more of what I enjoy hearing of Doug. And I think that there are more acts such as this but they don't get that "equal representation" within certain states. Peace prevailed.
there are nuts everywhere some burn books, some kill people. both are wrong
ReplyDeleteGood news from Texas for a change....

ReplyDeleteWell said Tess.
ReplyDeleteYes, a nice change. A lot of nice folks in Texas really, just not all of them politicians.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Jacquie. Strange people can come out of anywhere because we live in strange and unsettling times. Good to celebrate something nice.
ReplyDeleteWell done to them all, especially as they made the point peacefully.
ReplyDeleteI can only echo that, Jim.

ReplyDeleteYes, crazy people hog a lot of the limelight in some places and make us forget many people are concerned about bigotry rearing its ugly head.
