One of the first hits by one of the great bands from "across the pond" and, for me, one of their very best.
Warning: this video contains shots of teenagers smoking. If you are under 18 and watching this, remember, smoking won't make you cool! Eat celery instead, or better yet, go upstairs and finish your homework.
I am over 18 and still don't like smoking. Excellent song excellent group! I love this group. They were an unappreciated group. I always felt they were treated as a third class rock group. I like them better than the Stones and the Beatles.
ReplyDeleteBetter than the Beatles! Wow, that's bold. Well I like these guys better than The Stones. I agree The Who never seem to get the proper respect in many quarters over here, either as a group or in the individual work of Townsend and Daltrey.

ReplyDeletesome high octane stuff...I have this on my cd player. Entwhistle ranks as one of the best. The club scene was a great era of rock n roll...not sure if I could handle all that smoke though
ReplyDeleteYeah, me neither. It was a great time for music. The best British bands took American rock and pop and reinvented the sound. It only lasted a couple years really but it was a social revolution unto itself.
