"Son of a Preacher Man" is the very definition of "blue eyed soul". Probably still her most famous song in America at least. It's just hard to go wrong with Dusty. I really like this one, too.
I think you are right, Frank. The British Invasion began officially when the Beatles song "I Want to Hold Your Hand" hit "numero uno" o nthe charts in February of '64--I think I have the month right anyway. This was a bit prior to that.
Fred--Glad I could introduce that one. The first Dusty song I remember was "Wishin and Hoping", also a hit.
