What bugs me is that I had to sign it as oakie1 Someone else obviously took the username oakie before I did, meaning that they were impersonating me even before I existed. NOT HAPPY!
I love the way that everyone has simply signed without elaboration. Though I did get a powerful urge to add an extra punctuation mark just to be relatively ostentatious.
As usual Doug you are doing good work for the rest of us, as is that fine person at the other end of the link.
I signed but actually I have trouble with this whole idea that the blogging side is likely to be shut down. Just beacuse the HQ is now in Indonesia and not the US? Just because the new CEO said he'd like to further develop the marketplace part of Multiply? I think It's all a storm in a teacup, to be honest.
I hope they listen up to all of us who want this site to stay open to whatever we feel to put on. this is my home away from home and I love the friends I have made on here. I like the way you can see whoever comes on even if they dont leave a comment...but at least they were curious enough to peek...lol. And you are welcome Doug...I try to keep up with whatever is going on and try to let everyone know if I can and glad you picked up the link and strung it along....
Yes, Marty, I find it's nice to see how much interest there is in a given blog, and even how often I have rendered visitors "speechless" with my reflections. :-)
Indeed AA. Hear's hoping we keep the status quo. I could devote my future blogs to selling cast-off tennis shoes, but I feel this might limit my range of topics.
Thanks for the heads up Doug, I'm surprised at all the people who have not become paying members of Multiply. I was a paid member until I read about Multiply maybe ending as a social network and I have not repaid my membership dues. It doesn't make a difference to me if someone pays or not, it is a free service to those who would rather not pay or just can't afford to pay and that is another good thing about Multiply. If the company would give us a reason to pay I would pay again but as long as they are not being clear on what is going to happen here, I will withhold my money until I know what our future holds. I had no intentions on throwing a wrench into this and hope others will sign also, I signed, Thanks Doug 8-)
Doug so many did this but as of today with a formal letter as such - I would assume he already had taken that into consideration and with the board of directors. ...we tried!
I signed.
ReplyDeleteI signed and knew this day might be coming.

Thanks to you Marty since you were the first to link to this one.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it does some good Jack.
ReplyDeleteI would expect that the numbers he is trying to get are to leverage with the company.
ReplyDelete~ Let's Hope ~
There's only one Oakie in my book on this site and I knew you'd "do your bit" as they say.

ReplyDeleteHehe! Nice one Doug!
ReplyDeleteI do apologise for arriving late though! I've been fighting off an assault by the King of England (David Cameron).
All's good now! No need to throw the tea caddy into the nearest puddle. Hoho!
I hope you're right, Iri Ani, and there's no changes.

ReplyDeleteI have also "signed" Doug, we'll see what happens next?
ReplyDeleteI sighed it too,Doug, even though I haven't been on here that much lately.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell Christy about it this evening when I talk to her. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for signing and spreading the word, Timelord.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the market for a pair of those Doug if the worst comes to the worst :-)

Thanks for your offer, AA. Not sure how my US sized 10 1/2 shoes would translate for your UK-measured feet.
ReplyDeleteThe price of "free speech" always seems to have a economic base no matter where you go these days. :-)
I hope annual dues doesn't enter into it, Michael. Thanks for signing.

Yes, sadly I'm afraid that's "all she wrote", Jack.
