Easter is Coming

Some Christian-based thoughts on the world and its meaning to those who share this faith.

  1. I'm not sure that I see this as an either/or situation Doug...either we are Christian or we are crass, uncaring and acquisitive.
I wouldn't accept that as a valid proposition myself at Easter or at any other time I don't think. I found the logic difficult to follow but if it really wishes everybody whatever their view of transcendence might be a happy Easter, I'll go with that and stick to see the banker's hand.

  2. No, I only posted this as a way of underlining the Christian idea behind transcendence, AA. Many religions and philosophies are valid in coming to a view of the world that goes beyond crass commercialism and materialist hyper-economics.

"The world turned upside down" takes many forms so Happy Easter, Spring in the Northern Latitudes, et al, whatever all people of good will to humankind prefer.

  3. Thanks Doug I think I knew that you had that view, but I'm not sure the maker of the video did.....hope your Easter is going well :-)

  4. Sorry about changing the wording on my last posting, AA. I didn't realize you were commenting.

Yes, I'm not sure about the maker of the video, but it seemed to me to be an fairly open expression of faith and a clever use of wording.

  6. Clever video and very calculating... even though I count myself as one of those who once believed the latter and now thoroughly subscribe to the former... and all the cute little tricks (and pink bunnies) are insufficient to bring me back into believing that ruse.

Happy Easter (pagan or semi-Christian-adopted version) anyway.
    :))

  7. Wow, Doug, I have never seen anything like this. This is certainly something that I have never seen before. This is tremendous regardless of what faith a person holds and values!

    Amazing

  9. Love that is the only way we could turned this world full of shame and mockery. And not unless 'we turned our hearts liken to a child's' which is so pure and innocent we won't achieved those. Of course not of a childish manner but of a meek heart which knows no hatred but only a welcoming forgiving heart. hugs

*by the way i was brought here by a link from Jack's page. thanks again Doug and a blissful blessed Easter to your wife and kids-maritess*
