Computer Outage Strikes doug's Site; Despair Appreciated But Not Necessary

I'm sending my computer over to my local "Hammer and Chisel Cyber-Services" to deal with some issues. I'll be only on sporadically.

The sacking planned for my internal staff will be postponed due  to layoffs.

  2. Thank god you don't have a "hammer and sickle" shop... or you can bet it would come back loaded with spyware.

  13. I have an "Irish Screwdriver" for PC systems on order in case of the worst, AA.

Thanks for the "welcome drone" (Did you get a that nifty joint-leasing deal from Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano?)

I did notice some extra rotor noises over the house. ;-)

  15. lol....It's very frustrating, Iri Ani with the slowness of computer repair. Because of the bad economy they are backed up at the store I trusted to so the work...Can't blame them.

I hope to get back to my regular blogging soon.

  17. Yeah, I felt the same way, but I got a call this morning, Chuck, and the repair guy got the thing fixed. There was a three-day backlog which I knew about but I didn't want to take it to some shop where I didn't have a prior background with. The service staff at "Hammer and Chisel" are experts at the delicate 'mallet and blowtorch' work needed for the older computer.

In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have bought a PC made in Albania.

I'll make a note of that, just in case I'm ever in Balkans neighborhood.

  19. You'll thank me later. Avoid street vendors in Tirana especially.

  20. Right now by the time I get on here Doug, I am off as I have to format this wireless as it's so slow.
Yet thank you for the comments and I am taking some time to just visit a few. And then it's back
to a regime which I made a choice with. Again thanks there Doug.
