Very good rendition of this most well known of sonnets (except possibly Who Is Sylvia?)...
I was trying to work out the location which looks a lot more like the Thames than the Avon to me, no clues in the video though, do you know where it was filmed ?
It has all the millionaire opulence of Oxfordshire or the Home Counties Doug
I gather from the info on the You Tube posting, AA, that this is Mr Gilmour's "Astoria", a combination recording studio/luxury barge, on the River Thames.
It does look pretty swank doesn't it? We certainly don't see boats like that over at Brookings Harbor (Oregon) over in my neck of the woods.
I suppose its hard to spend zillions of squid as we oiks say Doug without the occasional combination of recording studio/luxury barge in the lower reaches of Old Father Thames, that sounds fair enough to me. I just think he ought to have bought another floating conservatory on the Avon for the purposes of truly doing this sonnet justice. He'd know that himself if he'd have paid more attention at school...all in all just another bark on the pool..... Hey Lock-keeper Leave that Barge Alone
Hello !
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful WEEKEND!
Do You like it the music ?
It's a my song, I'm the songwriter!
Üdv: László
Here is the english songtext!
CHILLY WINDS (HIDEG SZÉL)
Chilly winds are rustling on my door
There's a twilight in my room.
An old song is playing from Adamo,
Saying farwell to you.
Remembrance of the good old days
Already has gone away,
I'm in pain of delusion,
But I'm still in love with you.
After all these hours have gone away
Rememberances fly away
I don't want you to love any more, still
Have been waiting for you.
Chilly winds are rustling on my door
There's a twilight in my room.
An old song is playing from Adamo,
Saying farwell to you.
enjoyed it thanks Doug

LOL!
ReplyDeleteI agree---suit the sonnet to the river and the river to the sonnet.
Sound like "Old Father Thames" soaks up all the big accessorized barges among the rivers of Albion.
