The Pogues - If I Should Fall From Grace With God [Music Video]

Everyday can be "St.Patrick's Day" when these guys are in your CD collection or iPod. The lads are currently touring America.

If I should fall from grace with god
Where no doctor can relieve me
If Im buried neath the sod
But the angels wont receive me

Let me go, boys
Let me go, boys
Let me go down in the mud
Where the rivers all run dry

This land was always ours
Was the proud land of our fathers
It belongs to us and them
Not to any of the others

Let them go, boys
Let them go, boys
Let them go down in the mud
Where the rivers all run dry

Bury me at sea
Where no murdered ghost can haunt me
If I rock upon the waves
Then no corpse can lie upon me

Its coming up three, boys
Keeps coming up three, boys
Let them go down in the mud
Where the rivers all run dry

If I should fall from grace with god
Where no doctor can relieve me
If Im buried neath the sod
But the angels wont receive me

Let me go, boys
Let me go, boys
Let me go down in the mud
Where the rivers all run dry

  2. It's a great song Doug. One of many they've recorded.

  3. And here's a "doug's site" extra from the group, another very good one, from the 1980's.

  5. Wow, I just read up on what happened to Kirsty MacColl down in Mexico and the subsequent dirty legal farce of the whole unjust and tragic affair.

How terrible to happen to anyone but to a mother with small children its even worse. I'm not familiar with a lot of her work, but "Fairytale of New York" is a great duet song.
