Leave it to the hearty Swedes to come up with a way to encourage people to exercise more!

  1. And how about some sound effects to encourage cleaner city parks?

  2. I saw the stairs the other day. The trash thing was interesting. I am not sure how true it was. The 1st group seemed to be deaf. I saw sign language between them.

  3. Hahahahaha, I'd so love to do that. Rachmaninoff's piano concerto should keep a person busy.

    Fun video Doug. Thank you.

  4. What a great idea proving you don't need a big stick to change people's behaviour. I have heard recently that somewhere in Holland they have taken all road markings and traffic signals away which has cut the accident rate, because people now drive slower and much more carefully.

This proves anarchist solutions work a lot better than authoritarian ones do I think Doug.

Fun theory is indeed revolutionary ...I'm all for it myself!

  5. Found this Naked Road explanation ....a policy that has apparently found favour with the Con-Dem government here too http://www.brake.org.uk/naked-roads

  6. Yes, I wondered about that too Fred. How did people using sign language pick up on that? Someone in the group might have limited hearing perhaps? Anyway, a fun couple of ideas.

  7. lol... yes, Cassandra, I think you'd better have an emergency paramedic team standing by for the undaunted pianist wanting to pull pull a Rachmaninoff score off. He or she better have some major dance moves to get to the "keys" without breaking a leg!

  8. Now, that is interesting AA--a bit of reverse psychology making for safer roads.

It does indeed show that thinking creatively rather than erecting signage and harrying folks to be better little civic soldiers has great possibilities.

  9. Interesting and positive results indeed! I'm sure some parts of North America will catch up to this idea as well.
