Sublime! 'Gary Cooper' NINO ROTA from Fellini's 'Amacord' (1973)

One of the most beautiful pieces of incidental music from any film I think. Sorry this doesn't include a clip of the film, which is a visual treat as all Maestro Fellini's mature films are. Nino Rota's other credits included a little American film called "The Godfather".

  1. Ah, sits in the cinema and lets music float over me. Another beautiful example of wonderful film music Doug. Thank you!

  2. Thank you Cassandra. I heard this score on an album before I saw the film---after seeing it I could see how perfectly these two great artists collaborated.

  4. That's exactly the way I think all exceptional movies should be seen--in a darkened theater--at least the first time. You're welcome Fred.
