Priorities, Please!

It says something when the split-up between celebrities Pamela Anderson and some guy named "Kid Rock" gets more coverage in the media than the fact that families of soldiers and Marines are straining and suffering in the regular forces and reserves after being split apart by second and third year-long combat deployents in Iraq.   Newlyweds Anderson and Rock had to only endure each other five months.  If the media focused on the real life-and-death stories, we might not be so surprised when wars end and men and women in uniform come home in a state of bewilderment at our lack of attention to their sacrifices.
