Politicans From Outer Space?

It seems a sure bet that changes are going to come in the November election. But one thing that never seems to change is the sheer proliferation of negative television ads.  One recent one here in Oregon features incumbent congressman Peter DeFazio (D-Eugene) vilified as a bobbled-headed doll.  You only get to see the candidate running against him for about two seconds and then he's looking smugly down at you from a camera angle tilted up in such a way as to suggest he is a omniscient King from a Galaxy  Far Away.  It is also popular to portray your opponent in a grainy black  and white image, preferably looking like Lon Chaney, Sr, from "The Phantom of the Opera."

It seems the ideal politican would be  a computer-generated hologram with no opinions on divisive issues.

Graphics and snide representations are easier to do than providing a honest list of reasons why the candidates who sponsors these ads are beter qualified than their opponents.
