This is an out of sequence shot, back at Eureka's Old Town. This is the Carson Mansion built by a timber baron in the 1880's. Now its a private club. Probably rich guys in there looking at porno.
Yes indeed. It does stand out--a great old Victorian style house. I was lucky to get a shot of the place right at dusk when the light was really bringing out its wonderful contours.
Nice picture Doug, you're probably right about the rich guys... places like that always have a lunatic in the attic, now they have the run of the whole house. And what a house it is!
That's one of the reasons why I wanted to live in Oregon--those cool afternoons you can find on the coast, even in Summertime. Luckily for visitors, most of this area is now part of the Redwoods National Park.
