Great Swing Moves of the World That Never Quite Caught On.

"Recorded at the Herrang Dance Camp in 2004. Nikolas "Lloyd" Lloyd and Mindi "Mindi" Lundqvist demonstrate some dance moves that sank, perhaps undeservedly, into obscurity in the swing era."

My favorite is the ape walk. Can't understand why this didn't catch on.

Moves: twizzle jig, ankle-shaker, ape walk, golf swing, bunny hop, proposal.

  4. I like the very upbeat general tenor of the music. The Swing Era (1935-47) was really the most popular period for jazz in American history. Not better, but more accessible.

  9. Indeed, Frank. The orchestras got smaller, and pop music evolved into rhythm and blues which evolved into many different forms, including, in the "Motor City", Motown of course!

  14. No indeed, Frank. My worst day of golfing was better than my best night of dancing :-)
